Someone has to figure this stuff out.

That's what this is for.

I've spent years building software, working with clients, experimenting with products and trying to make things work with limited time and money.

The strange thing about technology now is that finding something new is easy.

Knowing whether it is actually worth using is much harder.

There is always another tool. Another AI model. Another framework. Another workflow promising to save an hour.

So FlipCodex became a place to slow that down.

Try things. Follow the interesting threads. Keep what works. Forget what doesn't.

Built from the other side of the screen.

Years of writing software and working around businesses tend to change how you look at technology. Features matter. But so do budgets, maintenance, people, habits and what happens six months later.

01. Problem First

We don't review tools in isolation. We start with the problem trying to be solved.

02. New Isn't Better

Sometimes the boring, old technology is exactly what you need. We value stability.

03. Trade-offs Matter

Every architectural decision has a cost. We aim to highlight what you're giving up.

04. Things Change

Opinions should be loosely held. As the context shifts, so should the conclusions.
